Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Unit of Health Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences, Tampere University, Finland | May 2025 – Present

• Conduct research using health data with strong emphasis on quantitative methods such as biostatistics, data science, health informatics, epidemiology, biomedical data engineering, and related fields.
• Propose and develop research projects.
• Collaborate with ongoing research initiatives within the Health Sciences Unit and the wider Faculty of Social Sciences.

Previous Research Experience

Postdoctoral Researcher

School of Public Health, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China | October 2022 – March 2025

• Reviewed master’s and Ph.D. research projects under supervisory guidance and provided critical feedback.
• Led an independent machine learning project for early detection of liver disease and lung cancer.
• Analyzed the impact of Life’s Essential 8 on cardiometabolic diseases using UK Biobank data.
• Contributed to successful funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).

Postdoctoral Researcher

Zhengzhou Key Laboratory of Big Data Analysis and Application; School of Mathematics and Statistics, Zhengzhou University, China | July 2019 – August 2022

• Conducted research on COVID-19 transmission dynamics and environmental factors during the pandemic peak.
• Collaborated on breast cancer studies aimed at advancing treatment strategies and scientific understanding.
• Reviewed Ph.D. students’ papers and supported future grant applications and research development.
